Millstone Rye 100

Millstone Rye 100

Best Dutch Rye Whisky 2016

Polished cedar, fruit scones and orange squash comprise the bouquet. The palate is full of ripe plum, struck match and loads of oak. Very tannic and dry, but with a thick, sweet limoncello in between and hints of tangy orange peel. The finish has a robust, spicy grip and sweetens into juicy fruit.

Best European Rye 2014

Nose of chocolate, blueberry with an earthiness. Well made. Balanced. Caramel, vanilla, rocking spice that is warm all over. Fred Minnick

Lovely classic rye spices, Warming, rounded and very easy to drink. Jamie Milne

Sweet and sticky on the nose with red apple and Shreddies. Rich, full and massively sticky on the palate. Brown sugar and happiness on the finish. Superb. Ben Ellefsen

Quite sweet and perfumed nose with plenty of oak, followed by some pungent, youthful, dark rye spice. A lovely vibrancy with late oily orange and toffee coated biscuit notes. The palate is soft and toffeed. Light, earthy rye spice appears on the middle and attempts to build, medium length with the youthful rye showing in the finish. Chris Goodrum

Thick, dark toffee, strong menthol, wood spices, lavender and bit chalky. Molasses, minty. Terrific weight which holds its structure with a mélange of spices to delight. Jonny McCormick
