Smoky, black liquorice with a spicy hot glow. Sweet and slightly oaky. Beautiful balance of peat, sweet and heat.
Davin de Kergommeaux
Lavender and fresh green apples grab you. Honey and cream follow and a slight hint of smoke at the end. Tangerines really light up on the palate.
Candied lemon peel – alcohol soaked with a hot smoky metal edge. More sooty elements on the palate.
Good balance with touches of dried fruits, apricot, subtle hint of clove and honey, vanilla and oak. The palate is spicy and tart with cinnamon, clove and hints of lemon zest, a touch of malt, honey and vanilla.
Refined, elegant smoke with a salinity to it. That minerality to the nose is almost geological, like a hot stone massage for the senses. Soft, gentle palate and the timidity belies the elegance of the buttery caramels, blossom fruits, touch of orange and a hot, drying finish.
